CTET Syllabus 2019 Overview

Central Teacher Eligibility Test Syllabus 2019: Central Teacher Eligibility Test known as CTET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. CBSE conducts CTET twice in a year for determining the eligibility of candidates, with a degree or diploma in Education, for teaching jobs in schools, under the administrative control of the Centre, State, or Union Territories. The exam covers Primary and Elementary level teaching jobs.

CTET 2019 Exam Pattern

CTET Pattern consists of 2 papers- Paper 1(Primary Stage) and Paper 2(Elementary Stage) –

  • Paper 1 is for candidates who intend to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
  • Paper 2 of is for candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6 to 8.
  • Every correct answer has +1 mark while negative marking scheme will not be applicable for the exam. Candidates can refer to the below table for CTET Exam Pattern highlights:

CTET Syllabus | Paper I

CBSE conducts CTET 2018 Paper 1 for aspirants seeking employment in Kendriya Vidyalayas and other central government-aided schools.

CBSE conducts CTET 2018 Paper 2 for individuals seeking employment in the Elementary classes of schools. It will consist of 4 compulsory sections. They will have an option in the fourth section which aspirants should opt as per the subject they wish to teach. Section wise distribution is tabulated below:
