Central Teacher Eligibility Test Syllabus 2019: Central Teacher Eligibility Test known as CTET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. CBSE conducts CTET twice in a year for determining the eligibility of candidates, with a degree or diploma in Education, for teaching jobs in schools, under the administrative control of the Centre, State, or Union Territories. The exam covers Primary and Elementary level teaching jobs.

CTET 2019 Exam Pattern

CTET Pattern consists of 2 papers- Paper 1(Primary Stage) and Paper 2(Elementary Stage) –

  • Paper 1 is for candidates who intend to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
  • Paper 2 of is for candidates who wish to teach students from classes 6 to 8.
