DRDO MTS CEPTAM Recruitment 2020 Exam Update 2020: Vacancy And Other Important Notes

DRDO will conduct an Online Exam for the 1817 Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Posts recruit. MTS comes under the General Central Service Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial Post, Pay matrix Level-1 (Rs 18000-56900) as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix and other benefits/allowances as per extant Govt. of India rules.

In accordance with a recent notification from DRDO, they could not conduct the Tier-I (CBT) examination due to the CIVIC-19 pandemic. But there is a confirmation from DRDO that, MTS CEPTAM 2020 Exam will be planned and the tentative dates will be announced in the due course of time.

DRDO MTS 2020 CEPTAM Eligibility Criteria

Check the eligibility criteria for the DRDO scientist exam, 

Age:

Age limit of the candidates should between 18 and 25 years( Relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ ESM/ PWD/WIDOWS/ Divorced Women/ Women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried, Central Govt Civilian Employees, Disabled Defence Services Personnel, Persons Domiciled In J&K State during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 as per extant Govt. of India rules)

Educational Qualifications (As notified on 23rd January 2020)

Applicants should have passed the 10th class or Industrial Training Institute (ITI). Applicants should have acquired EQR as on the crucial date of eligibility for the posts they are applying for. Those awaiting results for the last examination as on the Crucial date if eligible for the suggested qualification, should not apply as they are not eligible.

DRDO MTS 2020 CEPTAM Scientist Selection Process

The selection is based on,

  • Tier-I : Screening
  • Tier-II : Final Selection

These tests will be conducted in the CBT(Computer Based Mode).

Application Process For DRDO MTS 2020 CEPTAM

Candidates have to apply online through the DRDO Recruitment link. Following documents and the scanned copy of those documents are required for filling the application,

  1. For age proof : 10th Class or ITI Certificate
  2. Passport size photo (Use most recent photos and have sufficient copies)
  3. Signature on a paper.
  4. ID proof any one from Aadhaar/Printout of E-Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, PAN, Driving License, Original 10th Certificate or ITI Certificate etc. You should carry it during the examination for verification.

Applicants have to select three nearby cities from the given list before the Tier-I examination. General (UR), EWS and OBC male applicants have to pay application fee of RS 100 online. This application fee is non-refundable. For SC/ST/PwD/ESM and women applicants, there are no application fees.

Important notes:

  • Tier-I score may be normalized as per the requirements.
  • Both Tier-I and Tier-II have Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • No negative marks for wrong answer
  • Examination syllabus will be commensurate with the important qualifications needed for the post.
  • You can attempt the exam in both Hindi and English.
  • Screening is done on Tier-I and the final selection is done by Tier-II.  

Admit Card for DRDO MTS 2020

You can get the e-admit cards via this website link. From the website link you can download/print the e-admit card. It will be accessible 2 weeks before the examination. Note that this admit card  will not be sent via post. Applicants must print their card before appearing for the exam. You should take your original photo Id (as mentioned in the application form) along with your admit card. CEPTAM has the rights to shift applicants from one centre to another based on operational constraints. CEPTAM won’t accept any requests for the change in examination city, centre, date and shift allotted to candidate(s).  

Final Selection

CEPTAM has the function of selecting and nominating suitable applicants to the DRDO Lab/Estt/Unit depending on the availability of vacancies in various DRDO Labs/Estats/Units. Selection process is based on the marks of the candidates in the Tier-II exam as well as the document verification and preference of posting areas provided by the candidates at their application. Appointment offer will be issued by respective Lab/Estt/Unit subject to satisfying all eligibility criteria including antecedents and character. DRDO has the rights to nominate candidates to any place in India based on their organisational requirements/constraints.
