The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) had Released the notification to fill Deputy Collector, Group-A, Deputy Superintendent of Police/ Assistant Commissioner of Police, Group – A, Assistant Commissioner of State, Assistant Executive Officer / Group Development Officer, Assistant Director, Maharashtra Finance and Accounts Service, Industry Deputy Director, Tahsildar, Room Officer, Assistant Commissioner, State Excise, Industry Officer, Technical, and Other Posts for this year.

Every year they announce the recruitment notification to fill the vacant posts across their state. This year also they have released the recruitment notification to hire the eligible candidates.

The selection procedure for the post is written exam type. Candidates have to appear for the written exam and secure perfect marks to get selected for the post. To help the aspirants, we are here with the previous years question papers.

Maharashtra Public Service Commission Group B & A Test Pattern 2021

Maharashtra PSC Prelims Exam Test pattern

  • The examination will be conducted for 100 marks, where you will be asked 100 objective type questions. 
  • You will be given 60 minutes to complete the examination. 
  • All the questions will be based on general awareness. 
  • The Prelims Examination will be objective type / MCQ based.
  • The Prelims Exam contains only one subject that is General Awareness (General Knowledge).
  • You will be given a choice yo ander the question either in Marathi and English Language.
  • Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in the prelims exam.

MPSC Group B & A Mains Exam Test Pattern

Paper I

  • Here, you have to appear for two papers. Paper one will have English and Marathi based questions. 
  • The examination will be conducted for 100 marks, where you will be asked 100 objective type questions. 
  • You will be given 60 minutes to complete the examination. 
  • Marathi section will have 60 questions for 60 marks. English section will have 40 questions for 40 marks.
  • Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in the prelims exam.

Paper II

  • The paper II will be based on the subjects like General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Quantitative Aptitude.
  • The examination will be conducted for 100 marks, where you will be asked 100 objective type questions. 
  • You will be given 60 minutes to complete the examination.
  • Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking in the prelims exam.

Selection process

The skillful candidates will be hired based on two screening processes. The selecting process involved two steps,

  • Written exam
  • Personal interview

The candidates who are securing good marks with the cut off marks will be invited to attend the interview. Then the one who passes the interview will be hired for the post.

Admit card 

Admit cards are an important factor for attending the exam. Without the admit card the candidates are not allowed to attend the exam. The candidates have to download the admit card from the official website.

The admit card will be available 10 days before the exam. The candidates who submitted the application form before the end date are eligible for getting the admit card.

Cut Off Marks

This Cut Off mark is the minimum qualifying marks for the candidate to pass the exam, the candidate must have to score more than the given cut off marks. The cut-off list will be prepared for General/OBC/SC/ST categories. These cut off marks will be determined by considering various factors.

Merit list 2021

The candidates with good marks will be called for further selection, and they will do the document verification as a final selection process. The candidates can know whether they are selected for the post by downloading the merit list.

This final merit list is released when all the selection process gets completed. The candidates who have cleared all the selection process to make it to the final merit list will be considered for the post.
