OICL AO Eligibility Criteria 2021
All eligible candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying for the desired job. Candidates will be only selected if they fulfill the criteria and their performance in the Oriental Insurance AO Exam 2021.
Educational Qualification
This education qualification will be varied for different posts. They are as follows.
Generalist:
- Graduation Degree with 60% (55% for SC/ST) from a recognised University
Engineers (Automobile):
- Graduation/Post Graduation degree in Automobile Engineering with 60% marks(55% for SC/ST)
Accounts:
- Master’s Degree in Commerce / MBA degree in Finance with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST)
Legal:
- Law Degree with 60% marks(55% for SC/ST)
Actuaries:
- Graduation Degree with 60% marks and must have passed 4 Actuarial Papers from IAI/IFOA
Medical Officer:
- M.B.B.S Degree
Age Limit
Before applying for the OICL recruitment, candidates have to know their age limits and criteria. The candidate must have the minimum age of 21 years, and the maximum age of 30 years.
Age Relaxation
The upper age will relaxable for certain categories which are mentioned below.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
- Defence service personnel disabled in operation: 3 years
- Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31.12.1989: Gen: 5 years OBC: 8 years SC/ST:10 years
- Existing Confirmed Employees of Public Sector General Insurance Companies: 8 years.
OICL AO Selection Process 2021
All the Eligible candidates with eligible education qualification and age limit can apply for this recruitment. However, the eligible candidates should qualify for the exams. They will have to go through a three-tier process in order to be selected for the Oriental Insurance AO Recruitment 2021.
- Phase- I: Prelims examination
- Phase- II: Mains examination
- Phase- III: Interview
Phase- I: Prelims Examination
This is the first phase in the selection process. This Prelims exam will be a Computer-based examination which will be an objective type paper.
- There will be a total of 100 questions will be asked and each correct answer will carry 1 mark. All the questions would be of objective type.
- For every incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the assigned marks.
- The candidates have to appear for the exam and have to meet the minimum qualifying marks to go for the next phase of the selection process.
- After the candidates have qualified the prelims examination, they will be shortlisted for the mains examination.
Phase- II: Main Examination
All the candidates who have satisfied the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the main examination. This OICL AO Main examination 2021 will have two examinations.

Objective test
This objective test is a part of the phase II selection process. This objective test will be different for Generalists and specialists which have different patterns.
- There will be a total of 200 questions will be asked and each correct answer will carry 1 mark. All the questions would be of objective type.
- For every incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the assigned marks.
Descriptive Test
The descriptive test will be for English Language and for 30 marks. This is also an online based exam.
Phase- III: Interview
The candidates who have passed all the exams will be shortlisted for the Interview round.
- The ratio of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.
- The centre, address of the venue, time & date of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
OICL AO Final Result
The result will be available after the exam. Then the candidates are called for an interview. The final merit list will determine the seniority of the shortlisted candidates.
