JSSC Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification

All eligible candidates should satisfy the eligibility criteria before applying for the desired job. Candidates will be only selected if they fulfill the criteria and their performance in the JSSC Recruitment exam.

The applicant should have a graduate degree from a recognized institution/university with a minimum 60% in their studies.

Age Limit 

Before applying for the OICL recruitment, candidates have to know their age limits and criteria. The candidate must satisfy the age limit to get placed. The age limit is different for different categories. Below we have listed the maximum age limit for different categories.

  • General: 35 years
  • OBC / BC – Male candidates: 37 years
  • General / OBC / BC – Female candidates: 38 years
  • SC / ST: 40 years

Application Fee

All the candidates have to pay the application fee before submitting the application form. This also differs based on the categories that the candidate belongs to.

  • General and OBC category is INR 800/-
  • SC / ST / PWD category candidates is INR 200/-

Selection Process

All the Eligible candidates with eligible education qualification and age limit can apply for this recruitment. However, the eligible candidates should qualify for the exams. They will have to go through a two-tier process in order to be selected for the post.

  • Written test and
  • Interview

Written Test

Candidates who have registered for the JSSC Recruitment, will have to download the admit card and appear for the written test on the date and time specified in the admit card. The exam will be conducted offline and the exam will be held for 2 hours. It would be conducted in 2 phases: Prelims and Mains.

This is the first phase in the selection process. This Prelims exam will be a Computer-based examination which will be an objective type paper.

  • There will be a total of 120 questions will be asked and each correct answer will carry 1 mark. All the questions would be of objective type.
  • For every incorrect answer, there will be one negative marking.
  • The candidates have to appear for the exam and have to meet the minimum qualifying marks to go for the next phase of the selection process.
  • After the candidates have qualified the prelims examination, they will be shortlisted for the mains examination.

Interview

The candidates who have passed all the exams will be shortlisted for the Interview round. The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo an interview round for obtaining the jobs for the respective role that they have opted.

Admit card 

Admit cards are an important factor for attending the exam. Without the admit card the candidates are not allowed to attend the exam. The candidates have to download the admit card from the official website.

The admit card will be available 10 days before the exam. The candidates who submitted the application form before the end date are eligible for getting the admit card. The admit card was not released yet. However, we will update this page if the admit card is available on the official website.

Cut Off Marks 

This Cut Off mark is the minimum qualifying marks for the candidate to pass the exam, the candidate must have to score more than the given cut off marks. The cut-off list will be prepared for General/OBC/SC/ST categories. These cut off marks will be determined by considering various factors. The cutoff marks will be distributed along with the Exam Results. 

Merit list 2021

The candidates with good marks will be called for further selection, and they will do the document verification as a final selection process. The candidates can know whether they are selected for the post by downloading the merit list.

This final merit list is released when all the selection process gets completed. The candidates who have cleared all the selection process to make it to the final merit list will be considered for the post. The merit list will be released on the official website, hence the candidates are advised to check the Official
