Indian Army Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have some education qualification to apply for this post. The candidate should have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply. Those who are currently doing their final year of Engg degree course should be able to submit proof of passing Engg Degree Examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years.

Age Limit

The candidate must have a minimum age of 20 and a maximum age of 27 years.

Selection Process

Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) have the right to shortlist applications and to fix the cutoff percentage of marks for each Engineering discipline/stream without assigning any reason. This cut off marks will be applied on percentage of the marks obtained up to the final year by the candidate.

The candidates who are currently doing their final year will be allowed to appear for SSB. It would satisfy the following requirements.

• Their cumulative percentage of marks up to 6th semester/3rd year of Engg degree, up to 8th semester/4th year of B. Architecture (B.Arch) and up to 2nd semester/1st year of M.Sc in notified equivalent stream/ discipline is not below the approved cut off percentage in their respective streams.

• After declaration of final results, the cumulative percentage of marks up to final semester/ year of degree course will also be not less than the approved cut off percentage, failing which the candidature will be cancelled.

Educational Qualification

For applying this post, the candidate must have completed their Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory/ Recognized Board/ University/ Examination Body. The candidates who are appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply provisionally.

Physical Standards

Medical fitness will be determined as per standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces.

Age Limit

The candidate must have a minimum age of 20 and a maximum age of 27 years.

Selection Process

All the eligible candidates with perfect educational qualification will be called for an objective type Computer Based Examination (CBE) of 90 minutes duration. It is expected that they will conduct the exam in Apr 2021.

The eligible candidates will be selected based on the CBE merit, candidates will be called for interview during Jun 2021. Final selection will be based on combined merit of CBE & interview, subject to medical fitness.

Admit card 

Admit cards are an important factor for attending the exam. Without the admit card the candidates are not allowed to attend the exam. The candidates have to download the admit card from the official website.

The admit card will be available 10 days before the exam. The candidates who submitted the application form before the end date are eligible for getting the admit card. The admit card was not released yet. However, we will update this page if the admit card is available on the official website.

Cut Off Marks 

This Cut Off mark is the minimum qualifying marks for the candidate to pass the exam, the candidate must have to score more than the given cut off marks. The cut-off list will be prepared for General/OBC/SC/ST categories.

Merit list 2021

The candidates with good marks will be called for further selection, and they will do the document verification as a final selection process. The candidates can know whether they are selected for the post by downloading the merit list.

This final merit list is released when all the selection process gets completed. The candidates who have cleared all the selection process to make it to the final merit list will be considered for the post.
